I have been under acupuncture care of Farrah Hamraie for 8 months now. I initially received treatments for a severely torn calf muscle from playing tennis. After getting good results, we addressed early menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats. I am happy to report that both issues are gone! In addition, I have had a hypothyroid disorder for over 10 years. Under Farrah’s care….I feel confident I will be able to rid myself of having to take a prescription synthetic drug every day for the rest of my life. However, I am realistic this can’t happen overnight. This has been a long term condition and will take some time to accomplish. Acupuncture therapy will always be a part of my life as a maintenance program and I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their general health. After all…..Health is Wealth!

Weight loss
Dear Mrs. Hamraie,
When I reached 300 pounds I knew I had to do something about my weight problem. I had lost a lot of weight over the years but could never keep it off. About 10 years ago I just gave up trying to lose weight.
I thought I would try acupuncture. When I made the first appointment last February, I was really concerned about the value of acupuncture. I have been in your care for the last six months. I have lost 35 pounds so far and feel much better.
I also wanted help with anxiety. I am much better now and look forward to the weekly treatments. I always feel better after a session and now I can control my food cravings.
I am more relaxed and eat healthier meals and feel good about my success. I have finally found a way to change my lifestyle, not just go on a diet.

Allergies
As a life time airborne allergy sufferer of 54 years, I recently became an acupuncture patient as an act of desperation. The results from the initial examination indicated that I was allergic to pollen, trees, grasses, dust, fungus and seven types of foods. Currently the treatment for the airborne allergens is complete. There was one acupuncture session for each allergen. Since being treated I have stopped taking all of my allergy medication. The effectiveness of the treatment was unbelievable and almost immediate. Intentionally, I was exposed myself to extreme ragweed pollen for about 3 hours. The results were minor nasal drainage and minor sore throat which did not persist. The treatment for the food allergies are currently in progress and will be completed by November 2010. My testimonial will be updated in 2011 after the mountain cedar pollen season.

My sinus and allergies have gotten worse over the last 20 years. I’ve gone to ear, nose and throat specialist and they said they couldn’t do any ___ without surgery. The antibiotics have quit working. So I went to Equilibrium Health Center to see Farrah. I should have done this first.

In February of 2009 I came down with the Shingles. This was my first experience with shingles and I immediately went to a Medical Doctor. He said I would lose some vision in one eye and gave me a prescription. He sent me to an Eye Specialist and he told me the same thing. He gave me another prescription for some salve that I could put in my eye to ease the pain of the blisters. My daughter heard out my problem and immediately told me to call Farrah. I made the call and went to see Farrah. She said the Shingles would not be a problem and gave me some pills to start on and suggested a few treatments. I started on the pills and went back the next day for my first treatment. In less than 24 hours after starting on the pills my Shingles started getting remarkably better. My first treatment with Farrah found that my immune system was shot and my allergies were terrible. I went to Farrah 5 straight days and then had a couple of appointments a week for a month. Farrah cured my shingles very quickly and I lost no vision in my eye. Farrah fixed my allergies. I felt better than I had in 25 years. The total cost for the pills and all my treatments was very reasonable and in fact was cheap considering what she did for me. My wife, daughter, son and several friends have all gone to Farrah for treatments and all have had the same success. I would highly recommend Farrah. She is truly an amazing lady!!

Fertility
I chose to see Farrah after my mother-in-law recommended her and told me she might be able to help with my infertility issues. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for several years, but without success. When I began seeing Farrah, I was physically run-down and over-stressed from work and emotionally fatigued from the never-ending stream of disappointing pregnancy results. Within one month of beginning my treatment with acupuncture and herbs, I felt reinvigorated with a new energy I had not felt in years. Over the course of six months, my disposition only got better and better as she treated my allergies, emotions, and general well-being. After those six months, Farrah, my husband, and I decided I was ready to take the next step in infertility treatment and proceeded with an IUI. At first, I was really skeptical of acupuncture, but I was willing to try anything to ease my endometriosis pain and help me conceive. I met Farrah, who was always so nice and supportive, and I kept an open mind about this alternative treatment. Since getting treated by Farrah for my back ache got treated with the first visit ( I was very skeptical at first), I decided to get treatment while I was pregnant as well.
Having a history of early labor I wanted to do everything to avoid that the same thing would happen this time around.

Acupuncture
In 1974 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and had a bowel resection due to a blockage. Since that time any and all digestives issues were attributed to Crohn’s. I have been hospitalized several times throughout the years most of these showed no evidence of Crohn’s. However, that was always the diagnoses, with no conclusive evidence. Recently, after three months of constant explosive diarrhea, my gastroenterologists wanted to put me on really strong Crohn’s meds with the possibility of horrific side effects and at a cost of $700 per month for the rest of my life. I felt that this was “different” than my other bouts of Crohn’s. My gastro said, “We are not looking for a new diagnosis”, but he was wrong. I was looking for an accurate diagnosis.
This is where the search began into alternative medicine. I went to Dr Tim Green in Farmerville, LA and found so many answers. I live in North Central Texas so because of the distance and my need for frequent treatment, he referred me to Farrah Hamraie at Acupuncture for Equilibrium Health in Ft Worth.
I do not have enough words to tell you how appreciative that I am to both, Dr Green and Farrah! My treatment with Farrah began in October. She did acupuncture treatments and also did NAET testing along with some nutritional supplements. The NAET was able to identify several food allergies that were causing me problems. One of those was gluten, which had been a problem for several years. I was able to be desensitized to those.
I had taken meds for acid reflux for over 30 years, after just a few treatments it was gone. I was also on meds for hypertension for more 15 years I am now free of that med also. My BP is in the 120’s over 60’s even lower than when I was on meds! It took several treatments before I saw dramatic improvements in the diarrhea, but it too has resolved through her treatments! I feel healthier than I have in many years! I attribute all of my recovery to Farrah’s compassionate, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and extremely competent care. I have come to trust her with my life.
I have referred family and friends for treatment with Farrah and would not hesitate to refer anyone to her!
